Disembodied

A void stretches out on all sides and is populated by figures, faces, characters that appear and disappear, some lingering while others pop out of sight. Some leave a pleasant scent, others a bad taste in the mouth. Are these dream-like creatures any less real than what we encounter every day in real life? Are they visions of tomorrow or just reminders of days gone by?

Willie Saayman was born in Robertson, Western Cape in 1962. He enjoys drawing and painting and currently resides in Cape Town. He has works in a number of private and public collections.
